
New evidence for the age of the primitive echinoid Myriastiches gigas

An examination has been made of the acritarchs, chitinozoa, and spores recovered from the matrix of the primitive echinoid Myriastiches gigas. The results strongly support a Silurian age for the fossil and indicate a Lower Ludlovian horizon.
